Light Study

Installation, 100 watt incandescent bulb, single channel audio, 2012

An entire feature film’s averaged light levels as viewed through the shifting brightness of a 100 watt light bulb.  Installed in the Mills College Art Museum’s abandoned tower, a single bulb floats in the middle of the tower, fluctuating to each movie frame as the incendiary sounds of the film reverberate throughout the space.
